Smaken verschillen maar voor elke Sci-Fi lezer staat hier iets boeiends op de plank.
Let wel op, veel van deze boeken ontbreken een (degelijke) Nederlandse vertaling maar behoren toch wel tot de klassiekers.
Voordeel daar van is, is dat de boeken lekker goedkoop zijn!

Duin

Duin is momenteel het best verkochte sciencefictionboek ter wereld en dat is niet zomaar zo.
Deze zesdelige prijswinnende serie is een ingrijpende epos van Byzantijnse galachtise strijd tussen adelijke huizen van een corrupt rijk.
Als er slechts een science-fiction boek is dat je gelezen moet hebben, is het ongetwijfeld Duin.
Paul Atreides, zoon van hertog Leto, staat voor de moeilijke taak de familie Atreides te beschermen tegen
hun aartsvijand, baron Vladimir Harkonnen.

Starship Troopers

Dit boek is helaas nog niet vertaald in het Nederlands maar deze scifi klassieker is zeker zijn tweede plaats waardig. Oorlog is hells maar voor Heinlein's karakter Juan Rico is het hemels, net als voor de lezer.
Bootcamp, high tech speeltjes, romantiek en politiek en dat allemaal in de ruimte.

Foundation

Volgens sommige het beste science-fiction boek ooit geschreven. Zwaar leesvoer voor de echte scifan fanaat.

Oorlog in Haldman's Forever War is wel echt hells. Bloedig, brutaal en nutteloos.
Zowel een waarschuwend verhaal tegen de trivialiteit van de oorlog en het verhaal van de zoektocht van een man om betekenis te vinden
in een betekenisloze wereld.

Gelukkig, nog wel een boek met een Nederlandse vertaling. Tad William (bekend van fantasy boek Heugenis, Smart en het Sterrenzwaard) heeft ook nog een fantastische scifi serie; Anderland.
Anderland is woest en ledig. In het krachtigste simulatienetwerk aller tijden kon elke fantasie werkelijkheid worden. Nu is er weinig meer van over.
Een groepje avonturiers is op weg gegaan om de geheimen van Anderland te ontsluieren en duizenden jonge slachtoffers te redden. Maar ze zijn opgesloten geraakt in de eindeloze virtuele werelden en de psychopaat John Dread is bezig de simulaties een voor een te vernietigen. Zelfs de schepper van Anderland, de tycoon Felix Jongleur, staat machteloos.
